Transformation 2

For this we had to translate the square into different places and then I also had to reflect and enlarge the shape by 2 at one point.

Perfect Perimeter

In this presentation there is perimeter, Area and volume  that I had to figure out. The shapes I had to find the area and perimeter was from a right angled triangle a square and a rectangle and I had to find the volume from a cuboid.

Spectacular Shapes 1

Spectacular Shapes
We are learning to identify shapes by their properties

Algebra Recap:

6A = 36  A = 2
6B = 48  B = 8
14 - C = 5.  C = 9
20 + D = 29. D =9
E - 6 = 15. E = 9
F x 2 + 1 = 21. F = 10

Name the following shapes:

Identify the following shapes based on their properties:

WALT:  identify shapes by their properties
WALT: collaborate with others to solve problems effectively
Name of the Shape
Properties
Parallelogram
A Quadrilateral with four even sides and four vertices with 90 degree angles
Decagon
A Polygon with 8 sides
Triangle
A quadrilateral with two sets of parallel sides
Trapezoid

A quadrilateral with one set of parallel sides
cube
A Square that is 3D (three dimensional)
Rectangular prism
A triangle that is 3D
sphere
A 3D shape with no sides or edges

3D shapes

Square based pyramid
12 edges
8 vertices
6 faces
3D shape
1 square face and 4 triangle faces.
The triangle faces are equilateral triangles, so they have equal length sides and angles.

Cube
12 edges
8 vertices
6 faces
3D shape
the inside angle of the square faces are 90 degrees.

Math Problems

WALT solve maths problems

Success Criteria:
I know I can do this when I can:
- use BEDMAS to solve equations with more than one operation
- use basic facts knowledge to solve addition and multiplication problems

In these slide it shows there is different type of word problems. We also made 10 different bedmas Brackets.

Multiplication pyramid

5 x 15 =75
5 x 10 = 50
5 x 5 = 25
50 + 25 = 75

15 x 12 = 180
12 x 10 = 120
12 x 5 = 60
120 + 60 = 180

12 x 4 = 48
10 x 4 = 40
2 x 4 = 8
40 + 8 = 48

75 x 180 =
70 x 100 = 7000
70 x 80 = 5600
5 x 100 = 500
5 x 80 = 400
7000 + 5600 = 12600
500 + 400 = 900
12600 + 900 = 13500

180 x 48 =
40 x 100 = 4000
40 x 80 = 3200
8 x 100 = 800
8 x 80 = 640
4000 + 3200 = 7200
800 + 640 = 1440
7200 + 1440 = 8640

13500 x 8640 =
8640 x 10000 = 86400000
8640 x 3000 =25920000
8640 x 500 = 4320000
86400000 + 25920000 + 4320000 = 116640000

Transformation

There is a app on the slides that can or will help you with Rotate,Reflect, and translate.

Translate

Question - The rectangle slides to a new position.
Which of the following could be the new position of the rectangle?

This had to be the easiest because you had to slide the shape along and the other options were turned or something else

Question - The L-shape is translated at an angle of 60° and a distance of 4 units, then translated again at an angle of -10° and a distance of -3 units
Which one of the following shows the correct image?

This was the hard one because I didn't know what was going on and I just didn't get what was happening

Rotation

This was the Question - The square is rotated one complete turn about the point O.
Which of the following shows the new position of the square?

This was the easy Rotation I did because all you did was a full turn, you just had to leave it there because it was a full turn 180 degrees

This is my answer and it was wrong

The Question - Rectangle A′B′C′D′ is the image of rectangle ABCD after which of the following rotations?

This one was hard and confusing because I didn't know what to do .

Reflection

This was the easy one because all you had to do is put the square on the other side of the line then your done/EASY

Geometry making rockets

For today's math session we were doing some geometry/math . First each person in the class had to have 10-12 cube blocks. We used the cube blocks to build a rocket. After we are done
making the rockets we have to draw the ship on a math book from a birds eye view , side eye view and a front view.
Once we have finished drawing we have to get a buddy to look at the drawing and make the ship I have designed. They can only look at the drawing.
